The legal age for drinking and gambling in Nevada is 21 years. Some casinos are strict on this policy and others are not, but they have to adhere to strict rules to maintain their gaming license. Generally casinos allow minors to walkthrough a casino, but they do not allow them to stand and watch tables for any prolonged period of time.

  2. Where is the best place to see celebrities in Las Vegas?

So you are after hoping to find Paris Hilton or Brittney Spears partying hard at one of the Las Vegas clubs! Las Vegas is a great place to run into the rich and famous. George Maloof the owner of the Palms caters to the celebrity crowd, so the anywhere at the Palms is a great place to start. Next step, is to head over to the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, celebrities love to shop and the Forum Shops has all the items they could ever desire. Now, if you are in the partying mood, Pure, at Caesars Palace and Tao, at the Venetian are places you have to try. Almost every weekend a famous face is spotted at Pure or Tao.

  3. If I only have time to see one casino, which one can't I miss?

Well this answer is a little bit subjective, but Caesars Palace cannot be missed. It is in the center of the strip and massive. Caesars has almost 3,400 rooms spread between five towers. Built in 1966 and conceptualized by Jay Sarno and is now owned by Harrah's Entertainment. More recently they build "The Coliseum" which was speficially build for Celine Dion's show, "A New Day". It will not disappoint you!

  4. I hear a lot of people do not have to pay for rooms and food in Las Vegas, how do I become one of those people?

Las Vegas is known to reward some of their biggest players in some extravagant ways! The average person probably should not expect to expect anything to fancy but if you know how the city works, free rooms are definitely possible. We recommend that you get a players card to your favorite casino and use it anytime you gamble. This will than ensure your play is being "rated". Having a membership will ensure you are added to their rewards list. If you gamble enough, you will most likely get reduced room rates and possibly free rooms. In Las Vegas, the sky is the limit!

  5. What special events does Las Vegas hold?

Las Vegas is a city full of events! Extravagant shows, live music shows, ultimate fighting, boxing and any kind of comedy act you desire. The MGM Event Center is the official home of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and they have a extremely popular event every four to six weeks. Las Vegas also is the ultimate place to be for New Years, they have an incredible fireworks show fill the streets with people. Las Vegas also has big parties for the Super Bowl and July 4th. Anytime to go to Las Vegas is the right time, they always have great events!

  6. Does Las Vegas have free wireless internet? Will my hotel have internet access?

Las Vegas does not currently offer citywide access. Most of the hotels allow you to pay for internet access, it typically is $5-10 per 24 hour period, per computer, but differs depending on the hotel. Some off the Strip hotels offer free internet access. Take a look at our forums for a current list of hotels that offer internet access and how much they charge.

  8. When will I need to show my identification or Passport?

If you are an international traveler or look close to 21, be prepared to show your identification. When checking in to your hotel, you will definitely need your driver's license or Passport. If you look close to 21, you should have ID with you at all times. Most casino dealers are trained to ask for ID and you should have it ready to make sure the process is easy for everyone.

  9. Where can I exchange money?

If the McCarren International Terminal is your first stop, they have a store that exchanged your money for you. Although, because the lack of competition the airport does not offer the best exchange rates. Any casino cashier will also exchange your money; this is typically the best and easiest place to exchange your cash. If you prefer to exchange it before your trip that is also an option, but if you bring more than $10,000 US Dollars you have to declare it at Customers.
